Jacob Mann is a pianist, keyboardist, composer, and arranger based in Los Angeles. He has released a wide variety of music under his own name, including music for solo piano, piano trio, Juno-106 synthesizer, and three albums with the Jacob Mann Big Band. Mann has also released collaborative records with bassist Sam Wilkes and LA-based bands Max Ox, Shrek is Love, and Catpack. 

He has performed and recorded with artists such as Rufus Wainwright, KNOWER, Gretchen Parlato, Lee Ritenour, Leon Bridges, Butcher Brown, Vulfpeck, Larry Carlton, Kiefer, and Michael Mayo. Mann co-wrote a song on Thundercat’s GRAMMY-Winning album “It Is What It Is” (2020) and provided piano accompaniment for Rufus Wainwright and Chaka Khan on Wainwright’s GRAMMY-Nominated album “Folkocracy” (2023).

Mann has arranged music for several artists and big bands, including Peter Erskine, Cory Wong, Frankfurt Radio Big Band, and the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra. In 2025, he collaborated with Samsung Electronics on a big band version of their “Over the Horizon” ringtone. Mann is currently the 2026 Composer in Residence for Norrbotten Big Band of Luleå, Sweden. His original big band compositions are performed around the world by high school, college, and professional bands.
